Paintings

A bit about me...

I have been painting and sculpting for as long as I remember, but it has only been in the last 10 years I have made it my profession.

I have never had any formal training, what I do comes naturally from within.

Each of my pictures is a personal slice of me, painting is something I feel compelled to do, an uncontrollable urge if you like. I am inspired by many things moments in time/emotions/people etc. but my technique and style are all my own.

People often ask me how I would describe my paintings and if I am totally honest I would not know the exact term, Abstract, Modern, Cubism, Contemporary..? You decide What I do know, the single most important thing to me is colour. In my paintings the colours I use and the way in wich I use them tells you more about the picture than the content itself. It is through colour I feel I am able to relay passion and feelings on a different level.

I currently have a residency at a local gallery (link at bottom of this page) and sell a lot of my work on canvas there, but in the last few years I have been branching out in to schools and community projects doing much bigger and more challenging pieces which I am really enjoying. Most of the time when I work in schools I am on my own but sometimes I am able to involve the children which is a real bonus as they are always enthusiastic.

I love what I do and feel very luck to be doing it.

Work in progress..
